Additional Information

Monument styles and sizes.  The layout and design of the new “friends” section of the Saint John’s Abbey Cemetery has been created with a sense of beauty, consistency, and peace.  To maintain this consistent design, burial and monument requirements have been established to enhance the cemetery's artistic plan.  Monument styles and sizes are defined by plot location and type.  The Abbey Cemetery staff must approve the design, size, and structure of all monuments before fabrication.  Examples of approved types and sizes are available for review.

Permanent care cemetery endowment.  Fifteen percent of each ground burial and niche sale will be set aside in a cemetery endowment fund to ensure the permanent care of the cemetery.

Net proceeds from the Abbey Cemetery operation.  The net proceeds of the Saint John’s Abbey Cemetery, after the endowment fund transfer, will be used to support Saint John’s Abbey and its ministries.

Cemetery maps.  The cemetery maps are currently under development and review. As detailed, printable maps are completed, they will be made available on this site.

Woodworking. Saint John’s Abbey Cemetery offers a variety of funerary items which are produced by Saint John’s Abbey Woodworking Shop.
