Hours of operation:

  • Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Central time.
  • Burial services may be arranged Monday – Friday during normal business hours.
  • Services are also available on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon; additional fee applies.
  • No burial services on Sundays, legal holidays, or holy days.
  • The cemetery is open daily to visitors from sunrise to sunset.

Location – Directions to Saint John’s Abbey Cemetery

From the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport

  • Take MN#5 West to I-494 West. 
  • Take I-494 West to I-94 West, approximately 25 miles. 
  • Take I-94 West to Saint John's University exit #156, approximately 80 miles, County Road 159. 
  • Turn south (left) on County Road 159. 
  • Go approximately 1 1/2 miles to the Saint John's campus.

Visiting the office:  parking is available to the left and right of the square in front of the Abbey Church. Saint John's Information Desk is located inside the Great Hall, which is the building adjacent to the Abbey Church.  The Cemetery Office is down the first hallway from inside the Great Hall, Quadrangle Office #117.
