Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thurs. at St. John's Abbey Church in Collegeville, MN, for Victor M. Tholl, age 81, who died Monday at the Assumption Nursing Home in Cold Spring. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. Wed. at St. John the Baptist Parish Center on Fruit Farm Road in Collegeville, & from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Thurs. morning prior to service at the Abbey Church. Parish prayers will be Wed. at 7:00 p.m. In the parish center.
Victor was born in Cold Spring to Peter & Mary (Dombrovski) Tholl. He married Philomena Herges on Sept. 30, 1941, in the St. Martin Catholic Church, St. Martin, MN. He & his wife owned a farm until they moved to Collegeville. He then worked for St. John's Abbey as a mechanic until he retired in 1985. His favorite hobby was rebuilding & repairing automobiles & other machinery.
Survivors include his daughters & son-in-law, Doreen & Mike Keable, St. Joseph; grandchildren, Allison & Stephen Keable; sisters, Elsie & Rita Binsfeld of Cold Spring; & brother, James of Rice.
He was preceded in death by his wife; & brother, Leander.
