Renee was born in Cold Spring, Minnesota, to Peter and Elizabeth (Schmitt) Minnerath. She married Anthony Bernard Ressemann on July 1, 1954 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring. Renee worked at Saint John’s and various restaurants. She later worked at Electrolux for 30+ years. Renee’s greatest love was dancing with her husband Tony. She also had a great love of gardening, canning, crafting, and embroidering. Renee treasured all the special times she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were so precious to her. After retiring she truly enjoyed watching the various birds, especially the humming birds out of her dining room window.
Survivors include her children, Tim (Sue) Ressemann of St. Anna, Sandra Ressemann of St. Cloud, Walter (Nancy) Ressemann of Swanville, Gloria Kiley of Cold Spring, and Robert (Diane) Ressemann of Cadott, WI; sister, Elizabeth Zwack; brother, Alfred Minnerath; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; parents; sisters, Pauline Bauer, Marie Minnerath, Christine Minnerath, and Celine Hansen; brothers, Roman Minnerath, Larry Minnerath, Daniel Minnerath, and Jerome Minnerath.
Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Saint John’s Abbey Church in Collegeville, MN. She died Tuesday peacefully at her home, with her family at her side. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
